Dukakis Center to present new book on Greek views of America

The Dukakis Center will host its final event of 2025 on Friday, December 19. Kostas Diogos, PhD., will present his newly published book, The Greek Vision of the United States of America. From the Greek Revolution to World War I (Το όραμα των Ελλήνων για τις Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες της Αμερικής; Alexandreia Publishers, 2025).

Dr. Diogos will be joined by an all star roster of guest commentators, including Nikos Marantzidis, George Kalogeras, and ACT's own Christos Aliprantis. Vasilis Gounaris will moderate. The event will take place at the Museum of the Macedonian Struggle in downtown Thessaloniki. Collaborating institutions include AHEPA and the YMCA.

Notes David Wisner, Executive Director of the Dukakis Center, "the topic is perfectly in keeping with the mandate and mission of the Dukakis Center, to promote friendship and cooperation between Greece and the United States." Proceedings will be in Greek; free entry, doors open at 6:30.

Thus rounds out the Dukakis Center's extended Silver Jubilee season of public service initiatives at ACT.
