About the Center
The Michael and Kitty Dukakis Center for Public and Humanitarian Service is a private, independent, and non-partisan forum for research, dialogue, and civic engagement at Anatolia American University, in Thessaloniki, Greece. Its mission is to connect academic insight with public conversation and to inspire meaningful public service, especially among young people, through events, applied policy inquiry, and experiential learning. The Center convenes lectures, roundtables, and public programs, and extends outreach through digital formats that support civic literacy and informed debate. With strong interest in regional and international affairs, including governance, diplomacy, and the challenges that shape democratic life, the Dukakis Center develops initiatives and partnerships in Greece and internationally, with a special focus on U.S.–Greek relations, and collaboration across Southeast Europe and the Eastern Mediterranean.
