Anatolia University Faculty Explores VR Eye-Tracking Technology for Immersive Training and Research

The Department of Biological Sciences at Anatolia University recently hosted a specialized demonstration and training session for faculty, showcasing the transformative potential of Biopac© Systems’ Virtual Reality Eye-tracking and Immersive Training technology.

During this exclusive session, faculty members gained hands-on experience with this cutting-edge equipment, exploring its capabilities for designing sophisticated virtual laboratories and high-fidelity immersive research environments.

This innovative system represents a major leap forward in research methodology, seamlessly integrating Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and Mixed Reality with advanced physiological data collection. The technology features precise eye-tracking alongside the real-time measurement of key biosignals, including ECG, EMG, EDA, and EEG.

A key highlight is the system’s user-friendly, code-free interface, which dramatically lowers the barrier to entry for faculty interested in developing complex scenarios. With access to over 100 pre-built templates, covering a range of applications from phobia exposure therapy to complex driving simulations, faculty can easily and rapidly customize and deploy new studies.

The system provides a comprehensive, "turnkey" solution for innovative research in fields such as psychology, neurology, and healthcare training. By offering fully synchronized data, a robust library of 3D assets, and the ability to conduct high-fidelity, repeatable experiments in a controlled virtual setting, Anatolia University is now poised to significantly advance its research profile and provide students with unparalleled training opportunities using the latest immersive technologies.
