Biological Sciences Hosts Symposium on Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness

The Biological Sciences Department at Anatolia American University hosted on Monday, 18 May, a well-attended symposium titled “Management of Dementia in Greece,” bringing together leading clinicians and researchers specializing in Alzheimer’s disease and dementia care.

Coordinated by Dr. Iliana Michailidou, the event featured distinguished speakers from Alzheimer Hellas, including Emeritus Professor Dr. Magda Tsolaki, Dr. Elena Poptsi, and Dr. Marianna Tsatali. Their presentations provided attendees with valuable academic and clinical perspectives on the evolving understanding and treatment of dementia.

The symposium attracted faculty members and students from both the Biology and Psychology departments, reflecting the interdisciplinary importance of dementia research and patient care.
