Connecting Libraries, Sharing Expertise: Dr. Evi Tramantza Participates in Academic Library Review at University of Johannesburg

The Anatolia American University Library Director (and Director of Anatolia College Libraries and Archives) Dr. Evi Tramantza was invited by the University of Johannesburg (UJ) to participate in their Academic Library Review, a week long process (9-14 November) to evaluate the academic and research strategy, operations, resources, services and facilities of the UJ Library together with the University of Bath Librarian (UK) and the Director of the Utrecht University Library (The Netherlands), the Chief Director of the North-West University Library and Information Services (South Africa) and the UJ Senior Director for Teaching Excellence.

The University of Johannesburg is a public, comprehensive University ranked number one in South Africa and Africa and 23rd in the world according to the 2025 Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings. It serves 50,000 students, and has 4 campuses, 8 faculties  and 74 Research Centers and Institutes. 

Dr. Tramantza reported that it was a privilege to review together with the expert panel the remarkable and people centered UJ Library.
