Beyond the Code: Chubb Leads Career-Readiness Workshop for Computer Science Students
On Monday, April 27, 2026, the Computer Science Department at Anatolia American University welcomed members of the Chubb recruitment team for an on-campus career-readiness workshop designed to help students prepare for the transition from academic life to the professional world.
The session was led by Mr. Vagelis Tilaveridis and Ms. Vivi Topalidou, who shared practical advice and guidance on key aspects of career development, including CV preparation, professional online presence, LinkedIn branding, and the full interview process.
Going beyond technical skills, the workshop focused on the professional tools and habits that can help students present themselves effectively in a competitive job market. Participants received useful tips on how to structure and strengthen their CVs, communicate their skills and experience clearly, and build a professional digital profile that reflects their academic background, interests, and career goals.
The session also offered valuable insight into the interview cycle, from preparing through targeted research before an interview to understanding key “dos and don’ts” during and after the process. Particular attention was given to the importance of professional communication, thoughtful follow-up, and self-presentation when engaging with potential employers.
Career-focused initiatives such as this one reflect Anatolia University’s commitment to connecting academic learning with real-world professional pathways, helping students develop not only the knowledge, but also the confidence and skills needed to pursue meaningful careers.
