Anatolia American University Receives Official Accreditation for All Academic Programs
Thessaloniki, Greece, October 22, 2025
The non-profit, non-state Anatolia American University proudly announces that the Hellenic Authority for Higher Education (HAHE) has officially accredited all seven of its academic programs, following a comprehensive evaluation by the HQA’s Evaluation and Accreditation Council. This significant milestone enables Anatolia American University to welcome both Greek and international students in the first semester of the 2025–2026 academic year, including a substantial number of visiting students from leading U.S. universities.
Accredited Schools and Programs
All accredited programs are fully recognized by the Hellenic Republic and will be offered in English across three academic schools:
- School of Business Administration — Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with concentrations in Entrepreneurial Management, International Business & Finance, Marketing, and Hospitality & Tourism.
- School of Humanities & Social Sciences — Programs in English Language, Political Science & International Relations, and Psychology.
- School of Science & Technology — Programs in Applied Informatics, Computer Science, and Biology.
A Vision for Global Education and National Growth
Receiving accreditation in the initial evaluation phase marks a major step in Anatolia’s mission to establish a university of global standards in Greece. The institution aims to expand educational opportunities for Greek youth, position Greece as an international hub for higher education, and encourage the return of Greek academics and scientists from abroad. The initiative is also expected to contribute to regional economic development through the cultivation of talent and innovation.
Commitment to Accessibility and Inclusion
With the new legal framework ensuring equivalence between degrees from non-state and public universities, and guaranteeing that degrees awarded to foreign students are fully recognized in their home countries, Anatolia American University will serve three key student groups:
- Greek students seeking a rich academic experience in an international environment of learning and cultural exchange.
- International students pursuing studies in Greece.
- Visiting students from partner universities abroad, primarily in the United States and Europe, through exchange programs.
Campus Development and Scholarships
Anatolia American University has completed its Campus Master Plan, which envisions the construction of four new buildings, with the first slated for completion by 2027.
True to its founding mission, Anatolia remains committed to providing high-quality education to students with limited financial means. Currently, 30% of all students across Anatolia’s divisions and programs receive some form of scholarship or financial aid — a figure the institution plans to increase in the coming years.
