BS & BSc (Hons) in Business Computing
Brief Description
The BS & BSc (Hons) in Business Computing curriculum is characterized by a strong foundation in the fundamental principles of computer science, with courses in Programming, Databases, Web and Application Development, Computer Networks, Operating Systems and Security, Artificial Intelligence, among others. These are combined with courses from the broader field of Business Administration, such as Economics, Accounting, and Management. Students receive hands-on training in all of the above areas through extensive lab-based activities in every course. The program is further enriched by elective courses (for specialization or broadening) that students take during the final two years of study, allowing them to tailor their academic path toward their area of interest—whether that be Informatics or Business Administration. In addition, all students have the opportunity to conduct their own research and apply the knowledge they have acquired during the final year of their studies through the two Undergraduate Thesis courses.
The BS & BSc (Hons) in Business Computing is validated by The Open University.
